A new month brings a new showcase for Turner Classic Movies, and a tuneful one: Jazz in Film, a 40 movie focus on Mondays and Thursdays all months. It begins tonight with the classic jazz scores on “A Streetcar Named Desire” (8 p.m.), by Alex North; “The Man with the Golden Arm” (10:15 p.m.), by Elmer Bernstein; “Anatomy of a Murder” (12:30 a.m.) whose score is by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhdorn (pictured above with director Otto Preminger); and “Bullitt” (3L30 a.m.), scored by Lalo Schifrin.
“Below Deck Mediterranean” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) begins a new season in Mallorca, Spain with the usual demanding guests and staff misbehavior.
“The Baker and the Beauty” (ABC, 9 p.m.) ends its first season with a pair of episodes.
Jordan Sparks hosts “Iconic: TLC” (CW 8 p.m.), a special about the 90s singing trio who did “Creep” — not the network who gives you “90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined” (TLC, 9 p.m.).
“Songland” (NBC, 10 p.m.) has Bebe Rexha pick a new tune to record in tonight’s episode.
Alex Walker’s crooked ex-partner arrives in the Philippines with evil intent on the season finale of “Almost Paradise” (WGN America, 10 p.m.).
“The Walking Dead” (AMC 3 a.m.) starts rerunning season eight in the middle of the night.
This didn’t last too long: “Amy Schumer Learns to Cook” (Food, 10 p.m.) already ends its season. Maybe she learned everything.
A mortician finds company in one of the stories on “Creepshow” (AMC, 10 p.m.).
Before the pandemic, all anyone in Connecticut could talk about was the Jennifer Dulos disappearance. The story is covered tonight on the special “Vanished in New Canaan: An ID Mystery” (Investigation Discovery, 9 p.m.).
“T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” (VH1, 8 p.m.) tackles sex trafficking and cancer.
Dwayne Johnson doesn’t have anything better to do than host “The Titan Games” (NBC, 8 p.m.).
“Takeaway Camp with Martha Stewart” (Food, 9 p.m.) has a wedding cake challenge.
Some Miss USA pageant members arrive at “Camp Getaway” (Bravo, 10 p.m.).
Solaria gets burned on “To Catch a Beautician” (VH1, 9 p.m.).
“Secrets Unlocked: Grave of the Vikings” (Smithsonian, 8 p.m.) is followed by “Secrets Unlocked: A Viking Map?” (Smithsonian, 8:30 p.m.)
Turner Classic Movies spends the day saluting Frank Morgan, the veritable Wizard of Oz, born this day in 1890 with a number of his movie (except the Baum-based musical). Instead, there is “Beg, Borrow or Steal” (6 a.m.), “The Ghost Comes Home” (7:30 a.m.), “By Your Leave” (9 a.m.), “Stranger in Town” (10:30 a.m.), “The Great Ziegfeld” (11:45 a.m.), “The Human Comedy” (2:45 p.m.), “The Great Morgan” (5 p.m.) and “The Stratton Story” (6 p.m.).
But if you want to watch “The Wizard of Oz” you’ll have to tune into HBO Max.
