The third film in Steve McQueen’s remarkable series of the West Indian community in London, “Small Axe,” continues with the story of a black man who decides to become a policeman, “Red, White and Blue” (Amazon Prime, streaming). 

“Captain Underpants Mega Blissmas” (Netflix, streaming) is a zippy animated holiday special from the familiar book characters.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas” (Apple TV+, streaming) can only be found online this year, starting today (except for a PBS showing Dec. 13). But the streaming service is making its showing for all next weekend, Dec. 11-13. 

If you already miss “The Great British Baking Show,” take heart: Here’s the third season of “The Great British Baking Show: Holidays” (Netflix, streaming). 

A fourth season comes for the funny animated comedy “Big Mouth” (Netflix, streaming), about the travails of puberty. Its fine comedy cast is augmented this time around by John Oliver, Zach Galifianakis, Maria Bamford and Seth Rogen, among others. 

The new film “Sound of Metal” (Amazon, streaming) stars Riz Ahmed as a metal drummer who is losing his hearing. 

In the imported Turkish comedy “Leyla Everlasting” (Netflix, streaming), a man tries to rid himself of his wife so he can go off with his mistress.

The animated “Stillwater” (Apple TV +, streaming) is about kids who befriend a panda, based on the Scholastic book series. 

Meanwhile on terrestrial TV, the artist Keith Haring is celebrated on a new “American Masters” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings).

It’s a boxer that’s hailed in the documentary “Macho: The Hector Camacho Story” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) that delves into his mysterious murder.

The rebooted “MacGyver” (CBS, 8 p.m.) returns for its fifth season. 

“Magnum PI.” (CBS, 9 p.m.) is also back for its third season, followed by an 11th season start for “Blue Bloods” (CBS, 10 p.m.).

With no new parade this year, here’s highlights from past events on “The Hollywood Christmas Parade Greatest Moments” (CW, 8 p.m.), hosted by Laura McKenzie and Erik Estrada, with Dean Cain and Montel Williams. 

Jessica Lowndes and Chad Michael Murray star in the new holiday romance “Too Close for Christmas” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) 

Young leaders are recognized in the first “Kid of the Year” (Nickelodeon, 7:30 p.m.), which features Kristen Bell, Sione Biles, Brie Larson and Zachary Levi as guests.

Giant inflatable ornaments are pitched on “Shark Tank” (ABC, 8 p.m.). 

“Jim Gaffigan: Quality Time” (Comedy Central, 8 p.m.) is a standup special. 

Designers are tasked with creating Dickens-themed towns from scratch on “Biggest Little Christmas Showdown” (HGTV, 9 p.m.). 

On “Martha Knows Best” (HGTV, 10 p.m.), Drew Barrymore, Leslie Odom Jr., Lauren Conrad, Post Malone and DJ Khaled visit Martha Stewart on a couple of holiday-themed episodes.

Diamonds are Turner Classic Movies’ best friend tonight with films that include “Moonfleet” (8 p.m.), “Africa Screams” (9:45 pm.), “King Solomon’s Mines” (11:15 p.m.) and “Smugglers’ Cove” (1:15 a.m.). Then comes two weird horror films, “The Undertakers and His Pals” (2:30 a.m.) and “Motel Hell” (3:45 a.m.). 

During the day are awkward romances, with “Because You’re Mine” (6 a.m.), “Two Girls and a Sailor” (7:45 a.m.), “Two Girls on Broadway” (10 a.m.), “George White’s Scandals” (11:15 a.m.), “They Wanted to Mary” (1 p.m.), “Marry the Girl” (2:15 p.m.), “There Goes the Groom” (3:30 p.m.), “Wise Girls” (4:45 p.m.) and “Wallflower” (6:30 p.m.). 

Men’s college basketball includes Kennesaw State at Creighton (Fox Sports 1, 5 p.m.), Wisconsin at Marquette (Fox Sports 1, 7 p.m.), Troy at Texas Tech (ESPN2, 9 p.m.) and Oregon at Seton Hall (Fox Sports 1, 9 p.m.).

Women’s games include Louisville vs. DePaul (ESPN, 6:30 p.m.).

College football has Louisiana Lafayette at Appalachian State (ESPN, 8:30 p.m.). 

Men’s college hockey has Wisconsin at Ohio (ESPNU, 5:30 p.m.) and Arizona State at Notre Dame (NBC Sports, 7 p.m.).
