The original 1966 animated “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” (NBC, 8 p.m.) makes unnecessary the 2000 Jim Carrey live action version that follows it, “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (NBC, 8:30 p.m.). 

“Live Rescue” (A&E, 9 p.m.) counts down the Top 20 moments of 2020, one of which has to be the cancellation of “Live P.D.”

Christmas can’t stop “Washington Week” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings). 

On “The Zoo: Bronx-Sized” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.) deals with a sick sea lion. 

Time for one last Christmas movie? “My Sweet Holiday” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) involves a woman who spends Christmas at her parents house, when a stranger buys the family chocolate store. It stars Malone Thomas of “Ozark” and Jason Burkey of “Doom Patrol.” 

Turner Classic Movies’ Chrismas marathon comes to an end with “Little Women” (7:15 a.m.), “The Great Rupert” (9:15 a.m.), “Babes in Toyland” (10:45 a.m.), “Susan Slept Here” (12:15 p.m.), “The Man Who Came to Dinner” (2 p.m.), “Holiday Affair” (4 p.m.) and “The Apartment” (5:45 p.m.). 

Tonight, it’s a holiday with two Hepburns — Katharine and Audrey — in the alternating films “Sabrina” (8 p.m.), “The African Queen” (10 p.m.), “My Fair Lady” (midnight), “Holiday” (3 a.m.) and “Two for the Road” (4:45 a.m.). 

One NFL game today has Minnesota at New Orleans (Fox, 4:30 p.m.).
