The new nature series “Penguin Town” (Netflix, streaming) follows a group of birds who take over a South African town. Patton Oswalt narrates, so humor will likely be a priority.
“Dave” (FXX, 10 p.m.) seemed to come into its own by the end of the first season. Now Dave Bure and his alter ego Lil Dicky is back with a pair of episodes in which he deals with his success. The caliber of guest star increases too with Doja Cat, Kevin Hart, Lil Nas X, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kendall Jenner and Lil Yachty, among others.
“The Handmaid’s Tale” (Hulu, streaming) winds up its fourth season; it will be back for a fifth.
Engaged couples collecting funds for a dream wedding use it for a down payment on the new series “The House My Wedding Bought” (Discovery+, streaming).
Another new series has the former hosts of “Going for Sold” help neighbors buy and sell homes in Houston on “Two Steps Home” (HGTV, 9 p.m.).
Joel McHale returns with his game show “Card Sharks” (ABC, 10 p.m.) coming right after two other network game shows, “Press Your Luck” (ABC, 8 p.m.) and “The $100,000 Pyramid” (ABC, 9 p.m.). McHale, of course, also presides over “Crime Scene Kitchen” (Fox, 9 p.m.).
The game show “The Cube” (CW, 9 p.m.) flies in from cable (it premiered on TBS Thursday).
