The esteemed British musician and producer hosts the latest in what’s becoming a series of music-related Friday night shows, “Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson” (Apple TV+, streaming) in which he presents the history and significant developments in sound recording, starting with AutoTune, and talking with pioneers from T-Pain to Paul McCartney as he demonstrates the possibilities in the studio. It’s good.
“Icon: Music Through the Lens” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) looks at the shots of significant rock albums from Elliott Landy’s “Nashville Skyline” for Bob Dylan to Mapplethorpe’s “Horses” for Patti Smith.
“Classic Albums” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) spends an hour on Fleetwood Mac’s hit “Rumors.”
