The life of the ever-mellow landscape artist — and the history of quick painting style — is explored in the new documentary “Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed” (Netflix, streaming). But the story gets darker over the fight for his estate following his death in 1995.

Adrian Grenier and Zoe Kazan star in a new eight-part Australian-American series “Clickbait” (Netflix, streaming) a twisty thriller about a man abducted by unseen foes using the internet.

“American Horror Story” (FX, 10 p.m.) returns for its 10th season with a double feature that begins with a story of a struggling writer, his pregnant wife and their daughter who are living on an isolated beach town for the winter. Returning cast members Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Denis O’Hare are joined by Macaulay Culkin and Frances Conroy, among others. 

Two Toronto designers, April Brown and Sarah Sklash transform a dingy roadside motel in Ontario’s Sauble Beach into a cute one named the June on the six-episode series “Motel Makeover” (Netflix, streaming). 

“Archer” (FXX, 10 and 10:30 p.m.) returns for its 12th season with a pair of episodes, as the agency competing against a new spy conglomerate.

The six-episode “Open Your Eyes” (Netflix, streaming) is a horror series aimed at teens, about a girl hospitalized for amnesia, whose flashes back to what happened to her. 

A small town’s experiment, allowing inmates to end sentences if they take a three month drug rehab program, is explored in documentary series “The Program: Prison Detox” (Discovery+, streaming).
