The tradition of live TV musicals continues with the three-hour “Annie Live!” (NBC, 8 p.m.) with Harry Connick Jr. as Daddy Warbucks, Taraji P. Henson as Miss Hannigan and Celina Smith in the title role. Rounding out the cast are Nicole Scherzinger, Tituss Burgess and Megan Hilty, replacing Jane Krakowski after she was hit with breakthrough Covid.

It’s a big night for RuPaul, who is not only behind the international drag competition “Queen of the Universe” (Paramount+, streaming) and is also featured in the what might be the first drag-themed holiday movie, “The Bitch Who Stole Christmas” (VH1, 9 p.m.). Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Chad Michaels also star. It’s preceded by a season 14 reveal of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” (VH1, 8 p.m.).

It’s one of a few Christmas movies tonight that include Michael Urie, Philemon Chambers and Kathy Najimy in “Single All the Way” (Netflix, streaming). Jeni Ross, Jake Epstein and Olivier Renaud star in “A Christmas Village Romance” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.). And there’s a horror-themed one, “The Advent Calendar” (Shudder, streaming) with Eugénie Derouand and Honorine Magnier.

One, however is distinctly not about the holiday, the thriller “Psycho Storm Chaser” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.).

There’s a new eight-episode adult stop-animation series, “Santa Inc.” (HBO Max, streaming), all available today. Sarah Silverman and Seth Rogen created it.

Maya Rudolph and Andy Samberg host “Baking It” (Peacock, streaming) a low-key baking competition from “Making It” producer Amy Poehler.
