At a time when the “Sex and the City” reboot hasn’t been going so well. But here’s another comedy about adult women friends trying to step up in their lives after their friend dies. Ginnifer Goodwin, Maggie Q and Eliza Coupe star in “Pivoting” (Fox, 8:30 p.m.). After its premiere, the regular time slow will be Thursdays.
The crazy crass energy of “The Righteous Gemstones” (HBO, 10:05 p.m.) returns, augmented by a couple of new cast members named Eric — Eric Roberts and Eric Andre.
Also back tonight is the dark teen wold of “Euphoria” (HBO, 9 p.m.).
The benign and bucolic “All Creatures Great and Small” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings). Later, the murder-mystery period piece “Vienna Blood” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) also returns.
The second season premiere of “Call Me Kat” (Fox, 8 p.m.) features guest stars from Mayim Bialik’s earlier sitcom “Blossom,” Joey Lawrence, Jenna von Oy and Michael Stoyanov.
Marcia Cross, Anthony Anderson and Karl-Anthony Towns play “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” (ABC, 8 p.m.).
The reboot of “Dexter” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) has its season finale, followed by the penultimate episode of “Yellowjackets” (Showtime, 10 p.m.).
Fareed Zakaria hosts the news special “The Fight to Save American Democracy” (CNN, 9 p.m.).
