Sarah Lancashire turns in a fine performance as Julia Child as she begins her television career in the series “Julia” (HBO Max, streaming), trying to convince the public television station in Boston that people might be interested in the kind of recipes that had made her French cookbook a hit. The supporting cast includes David Hyde Pierce and Bebe Neuwirth. 

Pete Holmes (“Crashing”) stars as a real-life factory worker who was laid off and decides its time to make money as a PBA Tour bowler in the new feel-good sitcom “How We Roll” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.). Katie Lowes, Chi McBride and Julie White round out the cast.

The new culinary series “Rat in the Kitchen” (TBS, 9 p.m.) has a twist. As cooks compete, one of them is deliberately sabotaging their preparations. Part of the competition is trying to figure out who it is. Chef Ludo Lefebvre presides; Natasha Leggero hosts. 

“The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder” (Paramount+, streaming) is a spinoff of the long running Nickelodeon cartoon from the early part of the century that is more than odd: It’s a live action version (though the fairy godparents are still in cartoon form). 

Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse sneak into a space shuttle on Earth in order to unite with their significant others on Mars in the sci-fi rom-com “Moonshot” (HBO Max, streaming). 

“Tyler, the Creator: Call Me If You Get Lost Live” (Amazon Prime, streaming at 10:50 p.m.) is a live-streamed concert from Los Angeles. 

“Brené Brown: Atlas of the Heart” (HBO Max, streaming) is a five-episode series about her philosophy about relationships.
