Began with some tracks from a double bill that’s touring the East Coast, Alvvays and Slow Pulp. Continued with a remembrance of those who’ve died recently — Tropicalia queen Gal Costa, Keith Levene of the Clash and Public Image Ltd., and another for Mimi Parker of Low.

Then it was time to get on board for nearly three hours of train songs. And there could have been more.

Some artists were represented multiple times, from Hank Williams (three tracks) to Bruce Springsteen, Woody Guthrie, Lead Belly Johnny Burnett and Gladys Knight and the Pips (two from each). Could have had a whole set with Johnny Cash, but settled with his most popular one and one from his daughter.

It was all meant to pump me up for a 26 hour train trip, so I’ll just have to play it eight times. Math!
