Lizzo will win the People’s Champion award, Ryan Reynolds will get the People’s Icon nod and Shania Twain will be bestowed the Music Icon award on the 2022 People’s Choice Awards (NBC, E!, 9 p.m.), hosted once more by Kenyan Thompson. For once, the two hour red carpet special (E!, 7 p.m.) and the event itself will be on the same channel. 

The evening’s most important winner may come from the Georgia Senate runoff election (CNN, MSNBC, CSPAN, 8 p.m.), results of which may be slow in coming. 

A new “Frontline” (PBS, 10 p.m.) investigates Russian war crimes in its Ukrainian invasion, through eyewitness accounts and other data.

Former members of the LLDM share stories of abuse in the documentary series “Unveiled: Surviving La Luz Del Mundo” (HBO, 9 p.m.). The first two hours run tonight.

“Who Killed Jenni Rivera?” (Peacock, streaming) is a three-episode documentary series looking into the mysterious death of the Latin superstar, who died in a 2012 plane crash in Mexico. 

The annoying animated film series gets a holiday special, “The Boss Baby: Christmas Bonus” (Netflix, streaming) with tGeorge Lopez providing the voice of Santa.
