“Yellowstone” (CMT, Paramount, 8 p.m.) already had a hit prequel in the first season “1883” Now here’s a second spinoff from Taylor Sheridan. Like its predecessor, its title tells you when it was set, “1923” (CMT, Paramount, 9 p.m.). And like the others, this one has an eye-opening cast, with Harrison Ford as ranch patriarch and Helen Mirren (of all people) as his wife. The rest of the cast includes James Badge Dale, Robert Patrick and Timothy Dalton. At this rate they are likely working on a third spinoff set about 1963.

It all went so quickly. This morning is the World Cup final with Argentina vs. France (Fox, 10 a.m.). Then Quatar will have to figure out what to do with all those new stadiums.

Sunday Night Football has Giants at Washington (NBC, 8:20 p.m.). Earlier games include Philadelphia at Chicago (Fox, 1 p.m.), Pittsburgh at Carolina (CBS, 1 p.m.) and Cincinnati at Tampa Bay (CBS, 4:25 p.m.).

Scott Kelly reports from Ukraine on “60 Minutes” (CBS, 7:30 p.m.).

“This is Life with Lisa Ling” (CNN, 9 p.m.) explores alcoholism. A second episode at 10 looks at interracial couples.

“Dangerous Liaisons” (Starz, 8 p.m.) which had previously ordered a second season that has now been canceled by the network.

One of the season’s unique holiday movies tonight is “Hanukkah on Rye” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) with Yael Grobglas and Jeremy Jordan. But the other made-for-TV flicks are all Christmas as usual: “An Eclectic Christmas” (UPtv, 7 p.m.) with Hannah Galway and Jeremy Walmsley; “Wrapped Up in Love” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) with Brittany Bristol and Olivier Renaud; “When Christmas Was Young” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) with Tyler Hilton and Karen David (and a title song from Sheryl Crow).
