Netflix cuts in the best of its comedy shows this year on the compilation “Best of Standup 2023” (Netflix, streaming), including bits from Trevor Noah, Bill Burr, Ali Wong, Joy Foy, Gabriel Iglesias and Taylor Tomlinson. 

On public television is “United in Song 2022: Ringing in the New Year Together” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) with a variety of genres, with performers that include Renée Fleming, Christopher Jackson, Milck, Ricardo Morales, Rhonda Vincent, and three collegiate choirs. 

Earlier is a look back at the year’s events on “A Toast to 2022!” (NBC, 8 and 9:30 p.m.), hosted by Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. 

College football has a full roster of bowl games with Iowa vs. Kentucky (ABC, noon) in the Alabama vs. Kansas State (ESPN, noon), and in the playoff semifinals, it’s TCU vs. Michigan (ESPN, 4 p.m.) in the Fiesta Bowl and Ohio State vs. Georgia (ESPN, 8 p.m.) in the Peach Bowl. 

The latest production from Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is their profile series “Live to Lead” (Netflix, streaming) that will feature luminaries such as Greta Thunberg, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Jacinda Ardern. 

One of the best year end traditions is the four day marathon of “The Twilight Zone” (Syfy, 5 a.m.).

There’s also a 24-hour marathon of “Murdoch Mysteries” (Ovation, 6 a.m.). 

The weirdest marathon is one of “The Benny Hill Show” (Antenna TV, 11 p.m.). 

“All the Single Ladies” (OWN, 9 p.m.) is a preview of a new series in which Black women talk about their experiences about relationships. 

A couple of other previews of a new series include the true crime “Floribama Murders” (Oxygen, 8 p.m.) and “Manifesto of a Serial Killer” (Oxygen, 9 p.m.).  

Last year’s “Janet Jackson” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) three-part documentary is shown in its entirety. 

There’s a New Year’s Eve UFO on “Paranormal Caught on Camera” (Travel, 9 p.m.). 

The end of year tradition at Turner Classic Movies is all things Thin Man, with “The Thin Man” (8 a.m.), “After the Thin Man” (9:45 p.m.), “Another Thin Man” (11:45 p.m.), “Shadow of the Thin Man” (1:45 a.m.), “The Thin Man Goes Home” (3:30 a.m.) and “Song of the Thin Man” (5:15 a.m.). Earlier in the day are the musical compilations “That’s Entertainment!” (11 a.m.), “That’s Entertainment! II” (1:30 p.m.), “That’s Entertainment! III” (3:45 p.m.) and “That’s Dancing!” (6 p.m.).
