The number of commandments has stayed the same in the 1956 “The Ten Commandments” (ABC, 7 p.m.), but the running time for the Charlton Heston Biblical epic has grown to four hours and 44 minutes, due to bloated ads. One would like to think it’s an April Fool’s joke that Adam Sandler would win “The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor” (CNN, 8 p.m.). But no, he was so honored March 19 at a Kennedy Center event that was first broadcast March 26. The event drew, uh, Drew Barrymore, as well as Conan O’Brien, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Buscemi, dana Carvey and Luis Guzman. Not quite sure why it’s on CNN after years of being broadcast on PBS. But it will run pending no breaking indictments.
