A surreal new comedy series from Boots Riley (“Sorry to Bother You”) concerns the fantastical adventures of a reclusive and 13-foot-tall young man who breaks out and meets the world. Jharrel Jerome stars in “I’m a Virgo” (Prime Video, streaming) with Walton Goggins, Brett Gray and Kara Young.
“World’s Best” (Disney+, streaming) is a new hip-hop musical comedy about a 12-year-old math nerd who finds out his dad was a famous rapper back in the day, nudging him to try his own flow at the microphone. Manny Magnus and Utkarsh Ambudkar star in the film.
Another new film, “Through My Window: Across the Sea” (Netflix, streaming), is a sequel to last year’s teen romance from Spain, “Through My Window.” Clara Galle and Julio Peña return, portraying the couple a little farther down the line, when they had to share a long distance relationship.
A second season starts for the sports series inspired by Kevin Durant’s young years, “Swagger” (Apple TV+, streaming) with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Isaiah Hill.
The season finale of “The Great American Joke Off” (CW, 9:30 p.m.) actually has some comedians you might recognize: Natasha Leggero, Matthew Broussard, Alonzo Borden and Glenn More.
“Gold Rush: Mine Rescue with Freddy and Juan” (Discovery, 10 p.m.) has its season premiere. It follows a new episode of “Hoffman Family Gold” (Discovery, 9 p.m.).
Appalachia is a destination on “Guy’s All-American Road Trip” (Food, 9 p.m.).
