It all may seem like pink fluff to you but director Greta Gerwig says her new “Barbie” is based on dozens of classic movies, and she lists them to Ben Mankiewicz as guest programmer tonight on Turner Classic Movies. Of the 28 that are listed — from “The Wizard of Oz” to “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” — she only has time to present two of them in full: “The Philadelphia Story” (8 p.m.) and “The Red Shoes” (10 p.m.).

The first season finale comes quickly for “Extraordinary Birder with Christian Cooper” (Nat Geo Wild, 10 p.m.) with a visit to the Deep South.

The saga continues on “V.C.Andrews’ Dawn: Part 3: Twilight’s Child” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) in which Dawn becomes owner of Cutler’s Cove Hotel but her sibling threaten to ruin everything again. Catching up? Part one reruns at 4 p.m.; part two at 6.

Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler challenge the bakers to create their worst fears on “Baking It” (NBC, 8 p.m.).

“Greatest Geek Year Ever: 1982” (CW, 8 p.m.) considers “Conan the Barbarian”, “Rocky III” and other action films that year.

A waterfront home needs attention on “Vacation House Rules” (HGTV, 9 p.m.).

The midnight noir on Turner Classic Movies is “Julie” (12:30 a.m.), followed by both “The Picasso Summer” (2:30 a.m.) and “Last Summer” (4:15 a.m.).
