For a moment, it looked as though the 32nd season premiere of “Dancing with he Stars” (ABC, 8 p.m.) was in peril because of the writers and actors strike. But when the Writers Guild of America reached a tentative deal to end the 146-day strike Sunday, it meant the return of one participant who refused to cross the picket line for rehearsals last week  — Matt Walsh of “Veep,” above with partner Koko Iwasaki. The show that will now premiere as planned (and also be simulcast on Disney+). 

Other celebrities taking part this season include Jamie Lynn Spears, Barry Williams, Alyson Hannigan, Mira Sorvino, singer Jason Mraz, NFL running back Adrian Peterson, model Tyson Beckford, and actress Xochitl Gomez. Reality stars taking part are Ariana Madix of “Vanderpump Rules,” recent “Bachelorette” Charity Lawson, Harry Jowsey of “Too Hot to Handle” and Mauricio Umansky of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”  

Former winner Alfonso Ribeiro, who was co-host for Tyra Banks last season, moves up to host this year, with Julianne Hough the new co-host. Her brother Derek Hough is now head judge, alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. The premiere is two and a half hours but they tack on another half hour with “Dancing with the Stars” going against the cast of “Grand Crew” on “Celebrity Family Feud” (ABC, 10:30 p.m.).

The three-part documentary “Savior Complex” (HBO, 9 p.m.) follows the case of an American missionary from Virginia, Renee Bach, who travels to Uganda at 19 and sets up a clinic, despite not having medical training. She reportedly treated 940 children from 2010 to 2015, but in that period, 105 died, sparking a civil suit charging her unauthorized child services endangered them. 

“Frontline” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) looks at the brutality of Russia’s Vladimir Putin through his treatment of Nobel Prize-winning journalist Dmitry Muratov, one of the last independent voices in the country. 

The three-part true crime documentary series “Who Killed Jill Dando?” (Netflix, streaming), looks into the mysterious 1999 shooting death of a popular UK broadcaster. 

Twelve Koreans from different walks of life compete and try to survive on the new reality series “The Devil’s Plan” (Netflix, streaming). 

“The Victoria’s Secret World Tour” (Prime Video, streaming) sounds like another of their peep shows disguised as fashion show. Doja Cat performs. 

On the latest installment of “Becoming Frida Kahlo” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings), the artist reacts to her husband Diego Rivera’s time in America and his affairs.. 

Various problems plague the boat captains on the 19th season finale of “Deadliest Catch” (Discovery, 8 p.m.).

“The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.) continues its auditions, before the final live performances come before a winner is crowned Tuesday on “America’s Got Talent” (NBC, 9 p.m.).
