Saturday prime time broadcast has suddenly turned to basketball. The NBA In-Season Tournament concludes in Las Vegas with Indiana vs. Lakers (ABC, 8:30 p.m.) in the final. It plays opposite men’s college basketball with UCLA at Villanova (Fox, 7 p.m.) and Notre Dame at Marquette (Fox, 9 p.m.). A whole lot of other college hoops games are listed below.
“CNN Heroes” (CNN, 8 p.m.) salutes the philanthropy of athletes Simon Biles, Jeff Gordon, Tony Hawk, Alex Morgan and Kristi Yamaguchi in advance of its big event Sunday.
“Miraculous World Paris: Tales of Shadybug and Claw Noir” (Disney, 8 p.m.), the fifth in the series of animated specials, makes its U.S. debut.
“Planet Earth III” (BBC America, 8 p.m.) looks at wildlife struggles in the most extreme corners of the world.
The last of the three new episodes of “Doctor Who” (Disney, streaming) with David Tennant, Catherine Tate concludes with their facing the villain the Toymaker (Neil Patrick Harris).
In a slot originally held for something called “Byron Allen Presents a Merry Soulful Christmas,” CBS presents four consecutive episodes of his comedy game show “Byron Allen Presents Funny You Should Ask” (CBS, 8 p.m.), in which host Jon Kelley asks questions of a series of comedians. Among those rounded up for the shows are Adam Carolla, Whitney Cummings, Vivica A. Fox, Billy Gardell, Jamie Kennedy, Natasha Leggero, Jon Lovitz, Jeff Ross and Sheryl Underwood. As well as Byron Allen, of course.
Strangely, there’s no new Christmas movies tonight. Just kidding. There’s four.
Jana Kramer and Adam Senn star in “A Cowboy Christmas Romance” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) where the playing field is real estate — as it is on “Meet Me Under the Mistletoe” (Great American Family, 8 p.m.) with Sarah Fisher and Simon Arblaster. In “Christmas on Cherry Lane” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) three couples navigate turning points in their lives, with Catherine Bell, James Denton, Jonathan Bennett, Eva Tavares, Simon Farrell, Erin Cahill, John Brotherton and Vincent Rodriguez III. Even Oprah gets into the act, producing the new “Christmas of Yes” (OWN, 9 p.m.) with Michele Weaver and Jeff Pierre.
Returning Christmas specials include the 2007 “Shrek the Halls” (NBC, 8 p.m.) and the 2021 “Trolls Holiday in Harmony” (8:30 p.m.).
“Legends of the Fork” (A&E, 9 p.m.) visits old timey places in Chicago and Nashville.
A magic-themed birthday cake for Neil Patrick Harris is made by “Buddy Valastro’s Cake Dynasty” (A&E, 10 p.m.).
“Ancient Aliens: Declassified” (History, 8 p.m.) stretches out longer than four hours.
Kimmi decides to rev up her sex life on “Love & Marriage: Huntsville” (OWN, 8 p.m.).
