No better time to begin another “Barbecue Showdown” (Netflix, streaming). Michelle zButeau hosts; Melissa Cookston and Kevin Bludso judge. 

The one new SharkFest offering tonight is “Lost Beasts: Unearthed” (National Geographic, 10 p.m.), about the giant megalodon shark. 

It makes sense that on the birthday of the nation at a particularly surreal time politically, there would be two different marathons of “The Twilight Zone” (Syfy, Heroes & Icons, 6 a.m.) the H&I runs its 174 episodes to early Monday morning; the Syfy 24-hour marathon continues through tomorrow. 

Elsewhere it’s the never ending story of “Rocky” (AMC, 3 p.m.), followed by “Rocky II” (AMC, 5:30 p.m.), “Rocky III” (AMC, 8 p.m.), “Rocky IV” (AMC, 10:30 p.m.) and “Rocky V” (AMC, 12:30 a.m.).  

They’re having a barbecue, too, on “Doubling Down with the Derricos” (TLC, 10 p.m.). 

It’s the 100th birthday of Eva Marie Saint, who is still around to watch a marathon of her movies on Turner Classic Movies with “On the Waterfront” (8 p.m.), “North by Northwest” (11:15 p.m.) and “A Hatful of Rain” (1:45 a.m.). Then comes George Lucas’ best film, “American Graffiti” (3:45 a.m.).  

During the day TCM has various American tales: “Ah, Wilderness” (6 a.m.), “The Scarlet Coat” (8 a.m.), “The Devil’s Disciple” (10 a.m.), “1776” (11:45 a.m.). “The Music Man” (2:34 p.m.) and “Yankee Doodle Dandy” (5:30 p.m.). 

Soccer has Argentina vs. Ecuador (Fox, 9 p.m.). 

WNBA action has Connecticut at Minnesota (Prime Video, 8 p.m.) and Washington at Las Vegas (Prime Video, 10 p.m.).
