SpongeBob SquarePants and his friend Patrick host this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards (Nickelodeon, 8 p.m.) but they’ll probably get slimed like everyone else. 

Hairy, warm-blooded creatures raised by their mother’s milk are the focus of David Attenborough’s latest six-part nature series, “Planet Earth: Mammals” (BBC America, 8 p.m.), starting with those who operate at night.

Rachel Leigh Cook stars in a new out-of-season romance, “Rescuing Christmas” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.), one of 40 new Christmas movies they’ll produce this year. Sam Page also stars. 

In another made-for-TV movie, “Sister Wife Murder” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) is about a pastor with a lot of secrets, including his marriage to multiple wives. 

Shark Week comes to an end with the specials “Sharktopia” (Discovery, 8 p.m.) and “Mothersharker: Hammer Time” (Discovery, 9 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies has a couple movies about baseball tonight, “Elmer the Great” (8 p.m.) and   “Eight Men Out” (9:30 p.m.). The 12 o’clock noir is “The Woman on Pier 13” (midnight). They’re followed by two from director Martin Brest, ”Midnight Run” (1:30 a.m.) and “Going in Style” (3:45 a.m.). The midday musical is Jean Renoir’s “French Cancan” (noon).

Baseball includes Yankees at Baltimore (Fox Sports 1, 4 p.m.) and Atlanta at San Diego (7:15 a.m.). 

Soccer has Carolina vs. Uruguay (Fox Sports 1, 8 p.m.). 

WNBA action has New York at Chicago (ABC, 1 p.m.) and Los Angeles at Dallas (CBS, 3:30 p.m.). 

The Hy-Vee Homefront 250 (NBC, 8 p.m.) is run in Iowa.
