More than 10,000 athletes will arrive in the Parade of Nations, representing 206 countries. but this time they’ll be sailing four miles down the Seine, landing at the Trocadero near the Eiffel Tower. The torch will be lit and French President Emmanuel Macron will likely speak.
The NBC announcers will be Mike Tirico, Kelly Clarkson and Peyton Manning, assisted by Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Maria Taylor. A pre-show begins at noon; the event — being held at 7:30 p.m. Paris time will rerun at 7:30 p.m. in the U.S.
