Lhakpa Sherpa was already the first Nepali woman to summit and survive a climb of Mount Everest. Now a single mother working as a cleaner at a Whole Foods in West Hartford, Conn., she embarked on a record-setting 10th attempt In 2022 in hopes of inspiring her kids. Lucy Walker made a film about it, “Mountain Queen: The Summits of Lhakpa Sherpa” (Netflix, streaming), making its debut today.
