What was once a hodgepodge collection of regional businesses – professional wrestling — was coalesced into the WWE by the megalomaniac Vince McMahon, who grew it into a billion dollar global concern before he was taken down by sexual misconduct allegations. A new six-part series “Mr. McMahon” (Netflix, streaming), from the producer of “The Lion King,” tells the story. 

From “American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy comes a new horror series “Grotesquerie” (FX, 10 p.m.) stars Niecy Nash Betts as a detective who teams up with a nun (Broadway’s Micaela Diamond) to solve a series of crimes. It also stars Courtney B. Vance and, for some reason, Travis Kielce of the Kansas City Chiefs. 

From Mexico comes the new series “We Were Kings” (Netflix, streaming) about crime and forbidden love among rivals. 

The new true crime documentary “Jailbreak: Love on the Run” (Netflix, streaming) concerns an Alabama corrections officer who aided in the escape of a violent felon nearly 20 years her junior and their resulting love story. 

The Windy City returns in full force with the 10th season premiere of “Chicago Med” (NBC, 8 p.m.), followed by the 13th season premiere of “Chicago Fire” (NBC, 9 p.m.) and the 12th of “Chicago P.D.” (NBC, 10 p.m.). 

“The Masked Singer” (Fox, 8 p.m.) returns for its 12th season, with the same panelists as last time — Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke and Rita Ora, with Nick Cannon as host. 

“Big Brother” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.) has a a 90 minute episode for its power of veto competition. 

Flint is still a hot commodity on “Survivor” (CBS, 8 p.m.), where its most high profile cast away was first to go last week. 

“The Golden Bachelorette” (ABC, 8 p.m.) presides over a talent showcase starring her suitors. 

Rob Lowe, who 25 years ago was starring in the premiere of “The West Wing,” is now a game show host on “The Wall” (Fox, 9 p.m.), returning for its second season. 

“Big Cats 24/7” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) follows a female leopard looking for a mate.

Ada Curnutt, a U.S. deputy marshal from Oklahoma is profiled on “Wild West Chronicles” (NSP, 10 p.m.). 

“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) go to a ropes coast. 

A woman sues her sister after missing a Drake concert on “Ms. Pat Settles It” (BET, 10 p.m.). 

“Expedition X” (Discovery, 9 p.m.) goes to England to visit a haunted castle. 

A storm approaches on “Expedition Bigfoot” (Discovery, 10 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies winds up its showcase of studio directors with “The Outriders” (6:30 a.m.), “The Prodigal” (8:15 a.m.), “Them!” (10:15 a.m.), “Bad Day at Black Rock” (12:15 p.m.), “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” (1:45 p.m.), “Rome Adventure” (3:45 p.m.), “The Gazebo” (6 p.m.), “Oklahoma!” (8 p.m.), “South Pacific” (10:45 p.m.), “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” (1:30 a.m.) and “Ocean’s Eleven” (4 a.m.).
