And not a moment too soon: “Frontline” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) lays out the case for the major candidates for president before tomorrow’s election.

Using the occasion to recycle its old skits and impersonations is The 2024 Saturday Night Live Election Special (NBC, 10 p.m.)

Sharon D. Clarke stars as “Inspector Ellis” (AcornTV, streaming), a new series about a tenacious cop who is used to solve the most difficult cases. Andrew Gower costars as her sidekick. 

Monday Night Football has Tampa Bay at Kansas City (ABC, ESPN, 8 p.m.).

“The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.) concludes its battle rounds.

New episodes of the comedies “The Neighborhood” (CBS, 8 p.m.) and “Poppa’s House” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) precede a new “NCIS” (CBS, 9 p.m.) and of its prequel “NCIS: Origins” (CBS, 10 p.m.). 

“9-1-1” Lone Star” (Fox, 8 p.m.) responds to some Texas-sized problem. There’s no way they will cross paths with the lifeguards on “Rescue: Hi Surf” (Fox, 9 p.m.). 

Homesickness strikes “The Wranglers” (CW, 9 p.m.).

“What We Do in the Shadows” (FX, 10 p.m.) goes to New Hampshire to retrieve Nandor. 

A disappearance rocks the neighborhood on “My Brilliant Friend” (HBO, 9 p.m.). 

“Lioness” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) training begins for Captain Josie Carrillo. 

Turner Classic Movies has its tribute to Gena Rowlands, who died in August, at 94, with “A Woman Under the Influence” (8 p.m.), “Gloria” (10:45 p.m.), “Lonely Are the Brave”  (1 a.m.), “The High Cost of Loving” (3 a.m.) and “Night on Earth” (4:45 a.m.).
