Chris Rock returns to host a new “Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.) with musical guest Gracie Abrams. A former cast member, Rock is hosting for the fourth time. The replay at 10 p.m. is from just last week, with Paul Mescal and Shaboozey.

Don’t get it confused with “Saturday Night’s Main Event” (NBC, 8 p.m.) a revival of the bad idea of showing WWE’s fake wrestling in prime time, as they did from 1985-92. 

Seems a little late for The 92nd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade (CW, 8 p.m.). But here it is, hosted by Dean Cain and Laura McKenzie, with Monte Williams and Elizabeth Stanton. 

But, yes, there are more new Christmas movies. Among them, “Christmas Under the Northern Lights” (Great American Family, 8 p.m.), with Jill Wagner and Jesse Hutch, “The Santa Class” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.), with Kimberley Sustad and Benjamin Ayres, about a Santa with amnesia; “The Holiday Junkie” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) starring Jennifer Love Hewitt as a holiday decorator who mets Brian Halliday, and “Mistletoe & Matrimony” (OWN, 9 p.m.) about a last-minute Christmas Eve wedding. 

And the Australian comedy “Nugget is Dead? A Christmas Story” (CBS, 8 p.m.) gets a replay. 

“Second Chance Stage” (Magnolia, 8 p.m.) reaches its semifinals. 

Making its premium cable debut is this year’s sequel “Joker: Folie à Deux” (HBO, 8 p.m.) with Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

Also making its premium cable debut is “The Fabulous Four” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) with Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, Megan Mullally and Sheryl Lee Ralph. 

It’s a double feature on “Svengoolie” with “Dinosaurus!” (MeTV, 8 p.m.) and “Saturday the 14th” (MeTV, 10:30 p.m.). 

“May – December” director Todd Haynes picks the double feature on Turner Classic Movies tonight. Both are from 1971:  “The Go-Between” (8 p.m.) and “Sunday Bloody Sunday” (10:15 p.m.). The noir at midnight, from West Germany, is “Black Gravel” (12:15 a.m.). Then comes two with William Powell and Myrna Loy: “I Love You Again” (2:30 a.m.) and “Double Wedding” (4:15 a.m.). The midday musical is “Mame” (noon). 

The semifinals in the NBA Cup has Milwaukee vs. Atlanta (TNT, 4:30 p.m.) and Oklahoma City vs. Houston (ABC, 8:30 p.m.).

Hockey has Chicago at New Jersey (NHL, 1 p.m.) and Toronto at Detroit (NHL, 7 p.m.).

College football bowl games begin with Jackson State vs. South Carolina State (ABC, noon) in the Celebration Bowl and South Alabama vs. Western Michigan (ESPN, 9 p.m.) in the Salute to Veterans Bowl. 

Other college football has Incarnate Word at South Dakota State (ESPN, noon), Army vs. Navy (CBS, 3 p.m.) and Mercer at North Dakota State (ABC, 3:30 p.m.). And then there is the Heisman Trophy presentation (ESPN, 8 p.m.).
