The first of two specials telling the stories behind the Grammy winners for song of the year, the two hour “Grammy Greats: The Stories Behind the Songs” (CBS, 9 p.m.) looks at winners such as “Fallin,'” by Alicia Keys, pictured here, as well as Sting’s “Every Breath You Take”; John Mayer’s “Daughters”; Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab”; Adele’s “Hello”; Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy”; Bonnie Raitt’s “Just Like That” and “What a Fool Believes” by Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald.
Gayle King and Mickey Guyton host; a second special, concentrating on memorable performances at past Grammys, runs Sunday. The Grammys themselves won’t be held until Feb. 2.
