Now that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has been disbanded, can we take the Golden Globes (CBS, 8 p.m.) be taken seriously? Oh probably not. But it still might be fun to watch the first major awards show of the season that combines movie and TV accomplishments
Nikki Glaser, who rose out of reality-hosting hell with a stellar set at the Tom Brady roast in May, will likely hone a fine opening monologue. “Emilia Pérez” leads film nominations, followed by “The Brutalist” and “Conclave.” “The Bear,” “Shogun” and “Only Murders in the Building” are the top nominated TV shows.
The ceremony is preceded by “E! Live From the Red Carpet” (E!, 6 p.m.).
Sunday Night Football has Minnesota at Detroit (NBC, 8:15 p.m.). Earlier games on the last day of the regular season is Washington at Dallas (Fox, 1 p.m.), Giants at Philadelphia (CBS, 1 p.m.), Miami at Jets (Fox, 4:25 p.m.) and Kansas City at Denver (CBS, 4:25 p.m.).

“America’s Funniest Home Videos” (ABC, 7 p.m.) returns for its 35th season.
A new season of “Worst Cooks in America” (Food, 8 p.m.) tries something new — a celebrity edition, featuring rocker Sebastian Bach of Skid Row, Cheryl Burke of “Dancing with the Stars,” Frankie Grande of “Big Brother,” figure skater Adam Rippon, and Trinity the Tuck from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” up against a team of reality show villains: Bartise Bowden from “Love is Blind,” Tiffany “New York” Pollard from “Flavor of Love,” Rachel Reilly of “Big Brother, Corinne Olympios of “The Bachelor” and Wes Bergman of “The Challenge.” There’s a two hour premiere just to fit them all in.
A fifth season starts for “Expedition Bigfoot” (Travel, 9 p.m.). I predict disappointment.
Meri shreds her marriage quilt on “Sister Wives” (TLC, 10 p.m.).
“The Agency” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) strategizes a high risk recruitment.

Contessa grapples with Heavenly’s hurtful comments on “Married to Medicine” (Bravo, 9 p.m.).
“Vanished in Death Valley” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV thriller about a missing teen.
There’s a broadcast primetime showcase for “Toy Story 3” (ABC, 9 p.m.), now 15 years old.
“Monsters, Inc.” (Freeform, 7:30 p.m.) is paired with “Monsters University” (Freeform, 9:35 p.m.).
It’s better than “Wicked” — “The Wizard of Oz” (TNT, 7:30 p.m.).
Turner Classic Movies has a trio of Hildegarde Withers mysteries with “Penguin Pool Murder” (8 p.m.), “Murder on the Blackboard” (9:15 p.m.) and “Murder on a Honeymoon” (10:45 p.m.). The silent movie at midnight is “Show People”(12:15 a.m.), followed by two French movies, “Un camet de bal” (2 a.m.) and “As Long as You’ve Got Your Health” (4:15 a.m.).
Hockey has Rangers at Chicago (ABC, 3 p.m.).
College football has Valdosta State vs. North Central (ESPN, 8 p.m.) in the Division III championship game.
