If he were alive today, he’d never be invited for tonight’s “Opry 100: A Live Celebration” (NBC, 8 p.m.) — and not just because he’d be 177 years old. Old time country has long since ben replaced in Nashville by blander pop. So tonight’s performers will include Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins, Trisha Yearwood, Dierks Bentley, Carly Pearce, Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, Garth Brooks and Vince Gill. Blake Shelton hosts the three-hour event.
