It plays opposite the rare primetime broadcast MLS match with Portland at Austin FC (Fox, 7:30 p.m.) and the even more useless UFL game Memphis at D.C. (ABC, 8 p.m.).

The British TV personality tours around London’s spooky east end to revisit his childhood haunts in the new series “Jonathan Ross: Haunted Homecoming” (Travel, 10 p.m.).

“Say Yes to the Dress” (TLC, 8 p.m.) returns for a new season, with the shop’s merchandise director trying on her own gown for once. 

An injured porcupine needs help on the first of two episodes of “Wildlife Rehab” (Nat Geo Wild, 10 p.m.).

“Iyanu” (Cartoon Network, 9:30 a.m.) is a new animated children’s series that draws on Nigerian culture. 

A new season begins for the renovation series “In With the Old” (Magnolia, 1 p.m.). 

“Hearts Around the Table: Josh’s Third Serving” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV movie about a math teacher and music teacher who need to raise money from their school after funds are cut. Jake Epstein and Stephanie Bennett star. 

Gabourey Sidibe stars as a single mother who loses custody on the new movie “Give Me Back My Daughter” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.).

“Have I Got News for You” (CNN, 9 p.m.) welcomes Rep. Ro Khanna and Karen Chee to the panel. 

The Kyle Mooney comedy “Y2K” (HBO, 8 p.m.) makes its premium cable debut. 

There’s a Peter Weir double feature on Turner Classic Movies tonight with “Picnic at Hanging Rock” (8 p.m.) and “The Last Wave” (10 p.m.). The 12 o’clock noir is “The Narrow Margin” (midnight), which is followed by “Clash of the Titans” (1:45 a.m.) and “The Betsy” (4 a.m.). The midday musical is “Dance, Girl, Dance” (noon).

Baseball includes White Sox at Detroit (MLB 1 p.m.), Dodgers at Philadelphia (Fox Sports 1 4 p.m.) and Cincinnati at Milwaukee (Fox Sports 1, 7 p.m.).

Basketball has Memphis at Detroit (NBA, 7 p.m.).

Hockey has Rangers at New Jersey (ABC, 12:30 p.m.), Pittsburgh at Dallas (ABC, 3 p.m.) and Winnipeg at Utah (NHL, 7 p.m.). 

Semifinals in the men’s College Basketball Crown has Boise State vs. Nebraska (Fox, 1:30 p.m.) and Central Florida vs. Villanova (Fox Sports 1, 4 p.m.).

Women’s college basketball has its All Star Game (ESPN2, 3 p.m.).

Auto racing includes the Help a Hero 200 (CW, 3:30 p.m.) and, late tonight, the Japanese Grand Prix (ESPN, 1 a.m.).

Soccer includes Brazil at U.S. (TNT, truTV, Telemundo Universe, 5 p.m.) in a women’s international friendly.

Here’s something different in pro basketball on U.S. TV: Africa League play, with Stade Malian vs. Rivera Hoopers (NBA, noon) and FUS de Rabat vs. Al Ittlhad (NBA, 3 p.m.). 

Pro volleyball has Vegas at Grand Rapids (CBS Sports, 7 p.m.).

Track and field has second day action at the Grand Slam Track: Kingston (CBS Sports, 7 p.m.). 

College baseball includes South Carolina Upstate at High Point (ESPNU, 6:30 p.m.). 

Men’s college lacrosse includes Ohio State at Johns Hopkins (ESPNU, 2 p.m.).

Women’s college lacrosse has Boston College at North Carolina (ESPNU, 11 a.m.).

College softball includes Arkansas at Florida (ESPNU, 4 p.m.), Texas A&M at Georgia (ESPN2, 5 p.m.) and Alabama at LSU (ESPN2, 7 p.m.).  

Jack Black hosts a new “Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.) with Elton John and Brandi Garlile as musical guests, performing as a duo. Last week’s show, with Mikey Madison and Morgan Wallen, reruns at 10.
