Reviving a 1981 Alan Alda movie into an eight-episode series was on nobody’s wish list. But here’s “Four Seasons” (Netflix, streaming), which uses Vivaldi’s music to carve up a year in the life of three couples who are all friends and often vacation together. The whole group is shaken, though, when one of them breaks up with his wife (right when she plans to renew vows in an elaborate).

That the group includes Tina Fey (who also co-produces), Will Forte, Steve Carell, Colman Domingo and Kerri Penney-Silver make it appealing, as do the upscale settings. But it’s not quite as funny as it ought to be, and the action seems needlessly stretched out — a common problem in the streaming era. And just after a season of “White Lotus,” this one seems a little lower rent, with a similar amount of unlikable characters.
