The first Philippine submission of a documentary to the Academy Awards, “And So It Begins” makes its debut on “Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings). It’s director Ramona Diaz’s followup to her 2020 film “A Thousand Cuts,” about the embattled Philippine journalist Maria Ressa. But it shifts to follow the surprising rise of Leni Robredo’s presidential campaign in 2022, amid the COVID-19 pandemic and Ressa winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
The spinoff “America’s Most Wanted: Missing Persons” (Fox, 8 p.m.) ends its first season, which ended up only having three episodes. It’s main show, “America’s Most Wanted” (Fox, 9 p.m.), meanwhile, keeps on going.
