Public television has a couple of documentaries tonight from the world of photography.
First, “American Experience” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) profiles scientist Edwin Land, above, who invented the Polaroid camera in 1948, revolutionizing amateur photography with instant pictures.
Then, the work of of a San Francisco photographer looks back at work he did in his 20s, chronicling Chinese American family life, along with the occasional candid celebrity shots. “Who is Michael Jang?” By filmmakers Michael Jacobs and Lysette Urus, makes its debut on “Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings).
“The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.) begins its two-part season 27 finale with the Top 5 performing both an up-tempo song and a ballad before final voting begins. In addition tonight are performances by Michael Bublé and Maroon 5. The winners are announced Tuesday — with even more guest stars.
“Lego Masters” (Fox, 8 p.m.) returns for a fifth season, starting with a “Star Wars” competition.
At the same time it’s the season finale for “The Price is Right at Night” (CBS, 8 p.m.).
“Paradise” (ABC, 9 p.m.), the streaming series with Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson that migrated to broadcast TV, ends its first season with two episodes. It bumps “Bad Romance — A Special Edition of 20/20” (ABC, 8 p.m.) to an earlier time slot.
The September 2000 Playmate of the Month is questioned when a man from her past becomes a suspect in multiple killings on “The Playboy Murders” (Investigation Discovery, 9 p.m.).
“Yes, Chef!” (NBC, 10 p.m.) has contestants take orders for once.
Charter guests can’t keep their food down when the swells come on “Below Deck Down Under” (Bravo, 8 p.m.).
‘Basketball Wives” (VH1, 8 p.m.) tries to navigate touchy relationships.
When Gypsy plans to meet Ryan, Ken puts his foot down on the second season finale of “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up” (Lifetime, 10 p.m.).
“The Motherhood” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) tries to reignite the space dreams of one mom.
A $25,000 winner is named on the 11th season finale of the “Spring Baking Championship” (Food, 8 p.m.).
“Mysteries of the Unknown” (Travel, 8 p.m.) looks into reports of a Maine Sea Serpent.
An ancient treasure map etched on a copper scroll is one of “History’s Greatest Mysteries” (History, 9 p.m.).
“Holy Marvels with Dennis Quaid” (History, 10 p.m.) looks at legendary weapons.
Robert Redford is the star on Turner Classic Movies tonight with “Out of Africa” (8 p.m.), “Barefoot in the Park” (11 p.m.), “The Hot Rock” (1 a.m.) and “The Candidate” (3 a.m.).
Earlier, it’s about planes in danger with “Skyjacked” (7:15 a.m.), “Arctic Fury” (9 a.m.), “Five Came Back” (10:15 a.m.), “Test Pilot” (11:45 a.m.), “Ace of Aces” (2 p.m.), “Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo” (3:30 p.m.) and “The Crowded Sky” (6 p.m.).
Baseball includes Cincinnati at Pittsburgh (Fox Sports 1, 6:30 p.m.) and Arizona at Dodgers (MLB, 10 p.m.).
WNBA action has Seattle at Dallas (NBA, 8 p.m.).
