The “Godfather” director is feted in the “AFI Lifetime Achievement Award: A Tribute to Francis Ford Coppola” (TNT, 10 p.m.), taped last April in Hollywood in the 50th anniversary of the event, featuring tributes from Robert De Niro, Adam Driver, Harrison Ford, Morgan Freeman, Ron Howard, Diane Lane, Spike Lee and Al Pacino, among others. 

“We Were Liars” (Prime Video, streaming), based on the young adult novel by E. Lockhart, follows yet another impossibly rich, blonde family on an exclusive island near Martha’s Vineyard and a mystery revolving around a 16 year old girl. Emily Alyn Lind and Joseph Zada lead a cast that includes Marnie Gummer, Caitlin FitzGerald, David Morse and Wendy Crewson. With a first episode written by Julie Plec of “The Vampire Diaries,” it plays like a CW teen drama as well. 

A second season starts for “Buccaneers” (AppleTV+, streaming) after two years. The series began based on an unfinished Edith Wharton novel about five American girls going to London in the 1870s. In season two, they seem to be settling down a little bit. Christina Hendricks is among the cast and Leighton Meester joins in season two as her sister. 

A second season begins for “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” (Netflix, streaming), with another round of auditions, training camp and football field flaunting. 

“Somebody Feed Phil” (Netflix, streaming) begins an eight season with Phil Rosenthal going to Amsterdam, Sydney, Adelaide, Manila, Las Vegas, Guatemala, San Sebastian, Boston and Tbilsi, Georgia for chow. 

Yolanthe Cabau, a Dutch actress and model who is famous over there (and trying to avoid the spotlight) relocates to Los Angeles in the reality series “Yolanthe” (Netflix, streaming). 

The new series “Outrageous” (BritBox, streaming) follows the story the six Mitford sisters, a bit of British loyalty who displayed a variety of personalities and political leadings. 

“Adults” (FX, 9 p.m.) wraps up its initial season with a pair of episodes. 

The third set of episodes of “Walking with Dinosaurs” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) in as many days looks at the Pachyrhinosaurus and, at 9, the Lusotitan. 

“Sullivan Crossing” (CW, 8 p.m.) pitches in to help Rob save his new restaurant. 

The Canadian comedy “Children Ruin Everything” (CW, 9 p.m.) returns with a pair of new episodes, about halfway into season four. 

Josh Gates investigates the Nazis on a new season of “Expedition Unknown” (Discovery, 9 p.m.).

“Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch” (Discovery, 10 p.m.) returns for a new season, looking for Aztec gold in Utah’s Uinta Basin. 

“MasterChef” (Fox, 8 p.m.) has its first Mystery Box challenge. 

A brawling staff is tamed by “Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service” (Fox, 9 p.m.). 

“Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” (BET, 9 p.m.) is faced with the complexities of co-parenting. 

Crime is growing around the facility on “Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living” (BET, 9:30 p.m.).

“The Real Housewives of Miami” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) go to fashion week in Milan.

John strikes a deal to get supplies on “Twisted Metal” (Syfy, 10 p.m.). 

“Guy’s Grocery Games” (Food, 9 p.m.) has a noodle cook-off. 

Turner Classic Movies’ month-long Wednesday salute to Gary Cooper continues with “High Noon” (8 p.m.), “The Hanging Tree” (9:30 p.m.), “Friendly Persuasion” (11:30 p.m.), “Task Force” (2 a.m.) and “Dallas” (4 a.m.).
