Still, it’s an entertaining enough hate-watch, with Mrs. Russell set to pawn off her daughter to a Duke for the sake of social climbing. Carrie Coon’s worst work is matched by that of Christine Baranski and Cynthia Nixon. The cast doesn’t pick up until episode four when Merritt Weaver and Andrea Martin appear and Nathan Lane briefly reappears.
