Twenty-nine years after the original comedy, Adam Sandler is back in “Happy Gilmore 2” (Netflix, streaming) as an unlikely golf champ returning to the course in order to pay for his daughter’s ballet school. Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Ben Stiller and Dennis Dugan reprise their roles and joining the cast are Benny Safdie, Bad Bunny and Sandler’s daughter Sunny as his daughter. A few pro golfers also appear in the film as well.
If three times a week (and round the clock feeds) aren’t enough, here’s a fourth prime time presence, “Big Brother: Unlocked” (CB, 8 p.m.) with leftover footage, guest appearances and new interviews.
“Monster Island” (Shudder, streaming) is a new horror film set during World War II. Dean Fujioka and Callum Woodhouse star as a Japanese soldier and British POW are stranded on an island also populated by strange creatures.
In the concluding half of “Billy Joel: And So It Goes” (HBO, 8 p.m.) he writes classical music and sets some records at Madison Square Garden. Part one reruns at 5:30 p.m.
Shark Week continues the another three specials, “Great White Reign of Terror” (Discovery, 8 p.m.), “Florida’s Death Beach” (Discovery, 9 p.m.) and “Bull Shark Showdown” (Discovery, 10 p.m.).
From South Korea comes “Trigger” (Netflix, streaming), a series two men and the rise of firearms in that formerly gun-free country.
“The Fixer” (Fox, 8 p.m.) helps a pet salon and gourmet popcorn company in two episodes.
Harry gets help to save Patince on “Resident Alien” (Syfy, USA, 10 p.m.).
“The Great American Recipe” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) has cooks prepare goods for a bake sale.
Josh packs up on the season finale of “Mama June: From Not to Hot” (WeTV, 8 p.m.).
“The UnXplained” (History, 9 p.m.) looks at mad scientists over the years.
An influencer goes missing in the made-for-TV thriller “Secrets of an Influencer” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.).
