A new generation of lions emerge on the season finale of the nature series “Big Cats 24/7” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings). 

“Secrets of the Dead” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) begins its 23rd season at the Colosseum in Rome. 

The life of ancient humans in the Ice Age is examined on “Nova” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings). 

“The Floor” (Fox, 8 p.m.) and “99 to Beat” (Fox, 9 p.m.) are among the game shows tonight. 

The gals gang up on someone they think is there for the wrong reasons on “The Golden Bachelor” (ABC, 9 p.m.). 

“Shark Tank” (ABC, 10 p.m.) is pitched a reusable paint tray. 

A medical emergency shakes up “Survivor” (CBS, 8 p.m.). 

“The Amazing Race” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.) travels to the Czech Republic. 

A needy aardvark is dealt with on “Work on the Wild Side” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.).

“The Killer Clown” (Investigation Discovery, 8 p.m.) is all about John Wayne Gacy. It precedes two other true crime shows with movie-like titles, “The Real Murders on Elm Street” (Investigation Discovery, 9 p.m.) and “The Friday the 13th Murders” (Investigation Discovery, 10 p.m.). 

“Mountain Men” (History, 8 p.m.) encounter a bear while hunting for meat.

Turner Classic Movies has a handful of movies from director Otto Preminger with “Laura” (8 p.m.), “Daisy Kenyon” (9:45 p.m.), “Anatomy of a Murder” (11:30 p.m.), “Angel Face” (2:30 a.m.) and “The Man with the Golden Arm” (4:15 a.m.). 

During the day it’s all Randolph Scott on TCM in “Fighting Man of the Plains” (7 a.m.), “Ride the High Country” (8:45 a.m.), “Canadian Pacific” (10:30 a.m.), “Virginia City” (12:15 p.m.), “Carson City” (2:30 p.m.), “Roberta” (4 p.m.) and “Shoot-Out at Medicine Bend” (6 p.m.).
