Chicago may be the setting of three consecutive dramas on Wednesdays, but the much smaller Edgewater, a fictional town in Northern California, now has two. The new series “Sheriff Country” (CBS, 9 p.m.) stars Morena Baccarin as the unnecessarily glamorous sheriff who is also aunt of a local troublemaker played by Max Thieriot who is also a firefighter on the mothership “Fire Country” (CBS, 8 p.m.), which returns for its fourth season in the aftermath of a big ridge fire.
Another Friday night network stalwart, “Blue Bloods,” is no more. But one of its characters — Det. Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, continues in the spinoff “Boston Blue” (CBS, 10 p.m.), in which he’s paired with a new partner played by Sonequa Martin-Green. The series also features Gloria Reuben, Maggie Lawson and Ernie Hudson.
