Ruth Wilson and Emma Thompson star in the British import “Down Cemetery Road” (Apple TV, streaming) a series based on the 2003 novel by Mick Herron about a woman who hires an investigator after an explosion and a girl goes missing on the same night. The first two episodes run tonight. 

Colin Farrell, Fala Chen and Tilda Swinton star in “Ballad of a Small Player” (Netflix streaming), about a smalltime gambler with a big problem in Macau. The psychological thriller, directed by Edward Berger and based on the 2014 novel by Lawrence Osborne, opened in theaters Oct. 15. 

Following the least successful season yet of “Love is Blind” (Netflix, 9 p.m.) in terms of matrimony (women just can’t commit!), tonight’s reunion ought to be just as feisty. 

The overly glamorous high-end Los Angeles real estate agents return for a ninth season of “Selling Sunset” (Netflix, streaming). 

At a time of super hurricanes, “Nova” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) has a timely look at super floods., particularly those caused by last year’s Hurricane Helene. 

“The Golden Bachelor” (ABC, 9 p.m.) makes his choice next week, so this week is the women tell all episode. 

A DMV worker is found dead in a stolen car on “Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent” (CW, 8 p.m.). 

“Shifting Gears” (ABC, 8 p.m.) has a Halloween episode. 

And there’s a Halloween camping trip for older kids on “Abbott Elementary” (ABC, 8:30 p.m.). 

“Chicago Med” (NBC, 8 p.m.) deals with a rare neurological disorder; “Chicago Fire” (NBC, 9 p.m.) looks for the identity of an unknown ally; and “Chicago P.D.” (NBC, 10 p.m.) deals with a downtown bombing. 

Two tribes turn into three on “Survivor” (CBS, 8 p.m.).

“The Amazing Race” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.) goes to Croatia. 

The life of a mountain lion and her kittens in Montana is tracked on “Nature” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings). 

Scientists check the history of bubonic plague and consider modern prevention on “Secrets of the Dead” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings). 

A night of “Port Protection Alaska” (Nat Geo Wild, 8 p.m.) begins with a deer hunt. 

Elephants and a meerkat help test whether the African puff adder is actually odorless on “Work on the Wild Side” (Apple Planet, 9 p.m.). 

A new series wonders what happened to a missing 16-year-old girl, but the title is pretty sure “Bigfoot Took Her” (Discovery, 8 p.m.). 

“Mountain Men” (History, 8 p.m.) rebuilds a snowmobile and faces a menacing wolverine. 

A three-truck convoy takes a dangerous road on “Ice Road Truckers” (History, 9:30 p.m.). 

The new “About Face” (TLC, 10 p.m.) deals with things like facial tumors, following the similarly exploitive “Dangerously Obese” (TLC, 8 p.m.). 

Lee Grant turns 98 or so on Halloween (the year of birth varies depends on source), so Turner Classic Movies has a slate of her movies with “Shampoo” (8 p.m.), “Voyage of the Damned” (10 p.m.), her documentary “Down and Out in America” (12:45 a.m.), “Plaza Suite” (2 a.m.) and “The Swarm” (4 a.m.). 

During the day are films featuring Van Heflin, with “Seven Sweethearts” (6 a.m.), “Tennessee Johnson” (8 a.m.), “Presenting Lily Mars” (10 a.m.), “B.F.’s Daughter” (noon), “Madame Bovary” (2 p.m.), “The Prowler” (4 p.m.) and “Patterns” (6 p.m.). 

Game 5 of the World Series has Toronto at Dodgers (Fox, 8 p.m.).
