Ryan Murphy knows how to assemble interesting casts, especially of women. His new legal drama “All’s Fair” (Hulu, streaming) has some of his standbys, from Sarah Paulson toNaomi Watts, but also Glenn Close, returning to TV series drama 13 years after “Damages,” Niecy Nash, Tayana Taylor and, uh, Kim Kardashian (well, she did go to law school and was in his “American Horror Story: Delicate)).

The recurring cast includes Grace Gummer, Steven Pasquale, Kate Berlant, Judith Light, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ed O’Neill, Brooke Shields, Jessica Simpson and Rick Springfield. 


Off-year campaigns get big time attention with Election Night Coverage (CNN, starting at 5 p.m.) MSNBC begins its coverage led by Rachel Maddow at 7 p.m. It will be without Steve Kornacki, who has gone with NBC in the MSNBC/NBC split. ABC, NBC and CBS are covering on their streaming news services. Fox News refuses to pre-empt the prime time bluster of Jesse Waters or Sean Hannity and will wait until 10 p.m. for coverage. 

The rise of the far-right in Germany is the subject of a new “Frontline” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings), reported by Evan Williams. 

A second season starts for the reality show based on the fictional series about the same kind of game play (nobody dies in real life, though). Four hundred fifty six hopeful candidates show up for the second season of “Squid Game: The Challenge” (Netflix, streaming), going after a $4.56 million prize. 

The recently-installed streaming sitcom star goes back to her standup comedy roots in “Leanne Morgan: Unspeakable Things” (Netflix, streaming).

“Dancing with the Stars” (ABC, 8 p.m.) has its Rock & Roll Hall of Fame episode (reminding us that the induction ceremony is Saturday on sister station Disney+).

Truth comes to light in the first season finale of the saga “The Lowdown” (FX, 9 p.m.) with Ethan Hawke. 

“The Curse of Oak Island” (History, 9 p.m.) returns for its 13th season, which sort of sounds like they’ll never find the treasure they seek. Already two hours, it comes with an hour-long season preview on “The Curse of Oak Island: Drilling Down” (History, 8 p.m.).

A woman looks to have been killed in the woods by a bear on “Murder in a Small Town” (Fox, 8 p.m.).

“NCIS” (CBS, 8 p.m.) goes after a Marine suspected of kidnapping the wife of a Department of Justice official; “NCIS: Origins” (CBS, 9 p.m.) is affected by Fran’s older brother returning to town, desperate; and “NCIS: Sydney” (CBS, 10 p.m.) investigates a missing pilot at a UFO hotspot. 

A new six-part true crime series explores various cases of contract killings, asking the question “Who Hired the Hitman?” (Investigation Discovery, 10 p.m.). It follows new episodes of such uplifting shows as “American Monster” (Investigation Discovery, 8 p.m.) and “Mother, May I Murder?” (Investigation Discovery, 9 p.m.). 

“Doc” (Fox, 9 p.m.) treated a chaplain who helps her reconcile with the past. 

A winner is chosen on the fourth season finale of “Bobby’s Triple Threat” (Food, 8 p.m.). 

“Love & Hip Hop Miami” (BET, 8 p.m.) starts seeing women from Trick Daddy’s past. 

Victoria starts her plan to get Hunter out on “Tyler Perry’s The Oval” (BET, 9 p.m.).

“Paranormal Revenge” (Travel, 9 p.m.) is visited upon a couple with a new baby who move to Las Vegas. 

An Aransas family it hit by a polar vortex on “Homestead Rescue” (Discover, 8 p.m.). 

Rock Hudson is star of the month on Turner Classic Movies with a Tuesday night showcase that starts with “Winchester ’73” (8 p.m.), “Giant” (9:45 p.m.), “One Desire” (1:15 a.m.), “Gun Fury” (3 a.m.) and “Something of Value” (4:30 a.m.). 

During the day are stories involving hypnotism with “Seccrets of the French Police” (7:30 a.m.), “Lizzie” (8:45 a.m.), “Svengali” (10:15 a.m.), “The Mad Genius” (11:45 a.m.), “Scared to Death” (1:15 p.m.), “The Woman in Green” (2:30 p.m.), “Phantom of the Rue Morgue” (4:45 p.m.), “The Garden Murder Case” (5:15 p.m.), and “Fingers at the Window” (6:30 p.m.). 

NBA action has Orlando at Atlanta (NBC, Peacock, 8 p.m.) and Oklahoma City at Clippers (Peacock, 11 p.m.). 

Hockey has Carolina at Rangers (TNT, truTV, HBO Max, 7 p.m.), Edmonton at Dallas (Hulu, 8 p.m.) and  Tampa Bay at Colorado (TNT, truTV, HbO Max, 9:30 p.m.). 

College football includes Massachusetts at Akron (CBS Sports, 7 p.m.) and Miami Ohio at Ohio (ESPN2, 7 p.m.). 

Men’s college basketball includes Texas at Duke (ESPN, 8:45 p.m.).

In women’s games, it’s Tennesse vs. North Carolina State (ESPN2, 4 p.m.) and Louisville vs. Connecticut (ESPN, 5:30 p.m.).
