A decade after he stepped down from “The Late Show,” David Letterman has found a comfortable niche doing long form interviews and profiles. After a fine one with Adam Sandler earlier this month, the sixth season start of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman” (Netflix, streaming) has interviews with actors Michael B. Jordan, above, and Jason Bateman as well as viral personality turned reality ringleader Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast. 

The English National Ballet presents a reworked presentation of the holiday classic “Nutcracker” ballet on “Great Performances” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings). Aaron S. Watkin’s choreography to Tchaikovsky’s score puts Clara more in the center of the story for a new approach to the familiar work, featuring over 100 dancers and musicians performing at the London Coliseum. 

As recently as last week questions were still coming up whether the U.S. actually “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program. A new “Frontline” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) takes a deeper look at where it all stands. 

A winner is named on the finale of “The Voice” (NBC, 9 p.m.), but not before a return of contestants, a smattering of holiday songs and guest appearances by Khalid and K-pop star XG. A review of last night’s performances starts the three hour event at 8.

From South Korea comes the second season of the reality competition “Culinary Class Wars” (Netflix, streaming), in which hidden masters among the 100 contestants battle the star chefs. 

A truck of donated toys is tracked on “NCIS” (CBS, 8 p.m.). 

The disappearance of a father more than 60 years ago animates the documentary “The Secrets We Bury” (Investigation Discovery, 9 p.m.). 

“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) celebrate Mother’s Day in Santorini. 

Constance is met by a blood bath on “Tyler Perry’s The Oval” (BET, 9 p.m.). 

“Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House” (HGTV, Magnolia, 9 p.m.) has a problem with wildlife. 

Cleaning the basement has consequences on “Paranormal Revenge” (Travel, 9 p.m.). 

“20/20” (ABC, 10 p.m.) looks into the death of a mother shot outside her workplace. 

A fourth season finale comes for “Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown” (Food, 8 p.m.). 

“Mysteries Unearthed with Danny Trejo” (History, 10 p.m.) considers the monsters under our feet. 

Baylen flies to London to try a device that could reduce her tics on “Baylen Out Loud” (TLC, 8 p.m.). 

The month-long, Tuesday-night focus on British actress Merle Oberon continues with “Wuthering Heights” (8 p.m.), “The Divorce of Lady X” (10 p.m.), “’Til We Meet Again” (midnight) and “That Uncertain Feeling” (1:45 a.m.). Later comes “The Merry Widow” (3:15 a.m.) and “Ninotchka” (5 a.m.). 

During the day are some sci-fi horror flicks from the 1950s: “The Giant Behemoth” (6 a.m.), “Godzilla” (7:30 a.m.), “Them!” (9:15 a.m.), “World Without End” (11 a.m.), “The Thing From Another World” (12:30 p.m.), “Invaders from Mars” (2 p.m.), “When Worlds Collide” (3:30 p.m.), “War of the Worlds” (5 p.m.) and “I Married a Monster from Outer Space” (6:30 p.m.).  

NBA action has San Antonio at Knicks (Prime Video, 8:30 p.m.). 

Hockey has Edmonton at Pittsburgh (TNT, truTV, 7:30 p.m.) and Colorado at Seattle (TNT, truTV, 10 p.m.). 

College football has Troy vs. Jacksonville State (ESPN, 9 p.m.) in the IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl from Montgomery, Ala.
