In the first season of “Hijack” (Apple TV, streaming), Idris Elba tried to negotiate the safe landing of a hijacked plane. For season two that begins tonight, he tris to do the same on a speeding train in Berlin, where its commuters have been taken hostage.

From India comes the drama about an airport customs officer suddenly involved in stopping a global crime syndicate, “Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web” (Netflix, streaming). 

Besides being the original, I’ve heard the British version is the best (or at least the funniest), so here’s “Love Island All Stars” (Peacock, 9 p.m.), shot in South Africa. There will be some familiar people — entirely in swimsuits. Also back: host Maya Jama. Clear the schedule: new episodes come six days a week for the next six weeks.

A strange new three-part series takes advantage of the low bar of 1990s daytime TV when Jerry Springer and his ilk abounded. Maury Povich takes part in recalling “Dirty Talk: When Daytime Talk Shows Ruled TV” (ABC, 9 p.m.). 

The Johnny Knoxville-hosted reboot of “Fear Factor: House of Fear” (Fox, 9 p.m.) settles into its regular time slot (with the same episode it showed Sunday), and gets a boost from a “Fear Factor” themed episode of “The Masked Singer” (Fox, 8 p.m.), where Knoxville also appears. 

The first three seasons of “Veronica Mars” (Netflix, streaming) suddenly become available, possibly because its teenaged star Kristen Bell also happens to be in its current hit “Nobody Wants This” (Netflix, streaming). 

Matt reunites with an old friend on “Shifting Gears” (ABC, 8 p.m.). 

“Palm Royale” (Apple TV, streaming) has its second season finale. 

Game shows tonight include two episodes of “Hollywood Squares” (CBS, 8 p.m.) and “Price is Right at Night” (CBS, 9 p.m.). 

“Abbott Elementary” (ABC, 8:30 p.m.) gets some pressure from the PTA.

Three patients are hospitalized after a road rage incident on “Chicago Med” (NBC, 8 p.m.); a member of the firehouse family remains in peril on “Chicago Fire” (NBC, 9 p.m.) and a favor for a former recruit goes awry on “Chicago P.D.” (NBC, 10 p.m.). 

“Shark Tank” (ABC, 10 p.m.) is pitched a baby-soothing device. 

Elephant bulls in Mount Kilimanjaro and Amboseli are tracked on “Nature” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings). 

“Love & Hip Hop Miami” (BET, 8 p.m.) involves a DNA test. 

Guilty feelings increase among “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” (BET, 9 p.m.). 

“American Gangster: Trap Queens” (BET, 10 p.m.) follows the first trans-exclusive escort service. 

There’s a slumber party for the girls on “Southern Charm” (Bravo, 9 p.m.). How old are these people? 

“Alaska State Troopers” (A&E, 8 p.m.) go after gas thieves; “Ozark Law” (A&E, 9 p.m.) responds to a series of fights; and “Desert Law” (A&E, 10 p.m.) tracks down a reckless driver. 

A pride of lion Neds to be moved on “Work on the Wild Side” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.). 

“Pretty Hurts” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV movie about a teen who learns about the dark side of beauty pageants. 

Homes in the Ozark compete to be called “Ugliest House in America” (HGTV, 8 p.m.). 

“Swamp People” (History, 8 p.m.) are hit with a flash flood. 

Alan Arkin is star on Turner Classic Movie tonight, in “The In-Laws” (8 p.m.), “The Heart is a Lonely Hunter” (10 p.m.), “Glengarry Glen Ross” (12:15 a.m.), “Freebie and the Bean” (2 a.m.) and “Wait Until Dark” (4 a.m.).
