There are more than 3,000 rallies planned nationwide today, but coverage of the “No Kings Protestors March & Rally Against the Trump Administration in the Twin Cities” (CSPAN, 3 p.m.) includes a performance by Bruce Springsteen of his new song “Streets of Minneapolis.” Also on the podium there: Joan Baez, Jane Fonda and Sen. Bernie Sanders.
It’s mostly sports tonight on primetime TV, with Yankees at Giants (Fox, 7 p.m.) in the first Saturday night baseball game of the season (in case you didn’t see ther matchup on Netflix Wednesday). There’s also Philadelphia at Detroit (ABC, 8 p.m.) in hockey action and the ISU World Figure Skating Championships (NBC, 8 p.m.).
Odd, then, that the March Madness is mostly relegated to cable.
The men’s NCAA basketball tournament reaches the Elite 8 with Iowa vs. Illinois (truTV, 6:09 p.m.) and Purdue vs. Arizona (TBS, truTV, 8:49 p.m.).
Remaining games in the women’s NCAA basketball tournament have Louisville vs. Michigan (ABC, 12:30 p.m.), Kentucky vs. Texas (ABC, 3 pm.), Oklahoma vs. South Carolina (ESPN, 5 p.m.) and Virginia vs. TCU (ESPN, 7:30 p.m.).
“The Man in the Window” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV thriller about a woman who’s new flame is suspected of a neighborhood murder. The cast includes Teri Polo, Dylan Walsh and Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
Kara Swisher and Nish Kumar are guests on the season finale of “Have i Got News for You” (CNN, 9 p.m.) with Amber Ruffin, Michael Ian Black and Roy Wood Jr.
Willie tries podcasting on “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” (A&E, 10 p.m.).
Last year’s “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina” (HBO, 8 p.m.) makes its premium cable debut.
The Scott brothers go back to Pontiac on “Love and Marriage: Huntsville” (OWN, 8 p.m.).
“A Royal Setting” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV romance about a gemologist hired to fix the setting of a prince’s crown. And maybe they’ll just hit it off in the process. Jen Lilley and Dan Jeannotte star.
“House on Haunted Hill” (MeTV, 8 p.m.) is presented by House of Svengoolie.
Turner Classic Movies has a pair of monster movies, “Them!” (8 p.m.), and “Rodan” (10 p.m.). The 12 o’clock noir is “Caged” (midnight), followed by two from Richard Lester: “The Ritz” (2 a.m.) and “Petulia” (4 a.m.). The midday msuical is “Blondie of the Follies” (noon).
Other baseball today has Washington at Chicago (ESPN, 2:20 p.m.), Minnesota at Baltimore (Fox Sports 1, 4:05 p.m.), and Cleveland at Seattle (MLB, 9:40 p.m.).
Other basketball has San Antonio at Milwaukee (Prime Video, 3 p.m.), Detroit at Minnesota (ABC, 5:30 p.m.) and Utah at Phoenix (NBA, 10 p.m.).
Hockey also has Minnesota at Boston (NHL, 5 p.m.) .
Robert Glasper is on a repeat of “Austin City Limits” (PBS, 11 p.m., check local listings) with DOMI and JD Beck.
“Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.) is rerun from December with Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Dijon. The rerun at 10 features Lizzo from 2022.
