Good news: Muggers did not prevent me from making it to the studio today.
But instead of the big stack of Halloween music I was going to play last week, events dictated that we dedicate a big chunk of the show — nearly two hours — to the work of the singular and influential Lou Reed.
Other segments had to do with impending shows by David Bromberg, Scott Miller, Devil Makes Three and the Flamin’ Groovies; and with the new albums by Arcade Fire and Paul McCartney.
