There would seem to be no reason to have yet another designer competition, but “The Fashion Fund” (Oxygen, 10 p.m.) chronicles a competition that already exists. The Council of Fashion Designers of America Vogue Fashion Fund is awarded to established designers who need the boost of a $300,000 grant and mentorship. Stylishly shot, it includes some of the biggest stars of fashion, who are involved in the decision making, from Anna Wintour to Diane von Fustenberg. And most of the designers are interesting and creative.
Mark and Donnie Wahlberg aren’t successful enough entertainers that they don’t think of branching out, starting their own restaurant with their brother Paul that they call “The Wahlburgers” (A&E, 10 p.m.). The new series chronicles their new endeavor.
New Orleans is the cuisine and a car is the prize on this week’s “Top Chef” (Bravo, 10 p.m.).
Two more hours of auditions on “American Idol” (Fox, 8 p.m.), which returned to its worst ratings last week.
They travel from upstate New York to Ontario, a cross of the coyote and wolf called the coywolf (not wolfote?). They’re the focus tonight on “Nature” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings).

The ambitious and pretty well done three-night miniseries “Klondike” (Discovery, 9 p.m.) reaches its conclusion. It’s the end, too, for another chilly journey, “Chasing Shackelton” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings).
Empty nest syndrome is treated on a new “Suburgatory” (ABC, 8:30 p.m.).
Cordelia gets a weird vision on “American Horror Story: Coven” (FX, 10 p.m.).
Adam and Anders try to plan a baby shower on the fourth season start for “Workaholics” (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.).
Actress Jane Withers gets the spotlight on Turner Classic Movies, starting with her work as a child star opposite Shirley Temple in “Bright Eyes” (8 p.m.) and continuing with “Paddy O’Day” (9:30 p.m.), “Pack Up Your Troubles” (11 p.m.), “The North Star” (12:30 a.m.) and ending in “Giant” (2L30 a.m.) in which she portrayed Vashti Snythe.
NBA action includes Thunder at Spurs (ESPN, 8 p.m.) and Pacers at Suns (ESPN, 10:30 p.m.). In the NHL, Blackhawks at Red Wings (NBC Sports Network, 8 p.m.).
