RubioThe President’s State of the Union Address (ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, PBS, CSPAN, CNN, MSNBC, Al Jazeera, Fox News, 9 p.m.) is the annual civics ritual.

But more than that, it’s event television, causing a second stream Twitterstorm that only intensifies as when the Republican Response comes soon after. This year, there is also a Tea party and individual Rand Paul response too. The Ted Cruz response came early because he wasn’t going to listen to what the president was going to say anyway. Hope nobody gets dry mouth!

The new “Border Rico” (Travel, 10 p.m.) is not about Mr. Suave. it’s about undercover narcotics agents in Puerto Rico. Not sure what this has to do with travel. It seems to have more to do with keeping people from traveling.

Sad that there are enough people this huge to fill a season of “My 600 Pound Life” (TLC, 9 p.m.).
