Bravo seems to specialize in personalities who are hard to like.
There’s a whole bunch of them in “Most Eligible Texas” (Bravo, 10 p.m.), left, following big haired dating singles in Texas. It’s the third reality series this summer to trade on the Lone Star State and just about the dullest.
The fact that the second episode of “Bachelor Pad” (ABC, 8 p.m.) is an hour shorter than the premiere, ought to be a gift. But tonight’s episode is still two hours and filled with people nobody likes to see, from Jake to Vienna and her new knucklehead, Kasey, who was described last week as scheming, or more specifically, “schematic.”
Next week are the finals on “MasterChef” (Fox, 9 p.m.) and battling it out for a place in them are Adrien Nieto, Christian Collins, Jennifer Behm and Suzy Singh. But there are still nine chefs on “Hell’s Kitchen” (Fox, 9 p.m.).
The season finale of “Teen Wolf” (MTV, 10 p.m.) looks like it has a lot more action in it than most episodes, if the previews are accurate.
This might be the third time the two hour YouTube episode of “America’s Got Talent” (NBC, 8 p.m.) has shown in primetime this week, more proof that NBC’s Got Nothing.
War reenactment scenes are a good place for murder on “Rizzoli & Isles” (TNT, 10 p.m.), while on “The Closer” (TNT, 9 p.m.), the muder site is a construction site.
The woman with 47 dogs and cats shouldn’t be on “Hoarders” (A&E, 9 p.m.). She should be on boarders.
“The Millionaire Matchmaker” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) has relocated back to L.A. for her new season; Patti Stanger also got a development deal with Bravo for more shows.
The Ukraine is the destination is “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations” (Travel, 9 p.m.).
On “Kate Plus 8” (TLC, 9 p.m.), Ms. Gosselin answers viewers’ questions. Such as: Why are you still on the air?
A good one today on Turner Classic Movies: A focus on the largely silent work of Lon Chaney all day including, in prime time, his classic “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” (8 p.m.) and “The Phantom of the Opera” (10 p.m.) followed by “Unholy Three” (midnight), “The Unknown” (1:30 a.m.), “West of Zanzibar” (2:30 a.m.), “Where East is East” (3:45 a.m.) and “London After Midnight” (5 a.m.).
Yes it’s too early, with Monday Night Football (ESPN, 8 p.m.) premiering with a preseason game of the New York Jets at Houston.
