radioCPRThe first Friday Night Rock show of 2015 started with a too brief salute to the late David Ruffin began a show-opening set of soul, with more of the new D’Angelo in the middle.

Moved to some Hold Steady and 2014 stuff from Ty Segull, Jack White, Teenage Fanclub, Bob Mould, The Black Keys and Ryan Adams. Some lighter sounds from Damon & Naomi and Sharon Von Etten, some harder stuff from Ex Hex and Sleater Kinney. Some country stuff crowned by some live Old 97s. Then closed out with a bunch of Joe Stummer, with the Mescaleros and the Clash, before a little bit of David Bowie.

Here’s what I played on the radio tonight.
