Started with some Joy Division, noting singer Ian Curtis’ death 35 years ago this week. Then we moved to a death just yesterday — the great bass player Louis Johnson who played in The Brothers Johnson, on a lot of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits and even had a bass solo on a Paul McCartney track.
Birthdays were noted for Bob Dylan and Morrissey, with the latter getting much more time. Closed out with some rock and surf, heralding in the summer season this Memorial Day Weekend.
Here’s what I played on the radio tonight.
