The latest is London’s “National Gallery” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) making its TV premiere tonight.

The busy work there includes docents, restorers, executives and curators. More than that are the great masterpieces they all work among and seemingly for.

Did you know this was “We Day” (ABC, 8 p.m.)? According to this special it’s about encouraging young Americans to be active citizens and getting involved in the fight against bullying, violence, illiteracy and inequality. It takes celebrities to encourage such things, so Selena Gomez, Common, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Jennifer Hudson, Paul Rudd, Colbie Caillat, Magic Johnson and even Michelle Obama are on hand to do so. In over all altruism, it beats “What Would You Do?” (ABC, 9 p.m.).

The iranian American comedian presents a new stand-up special, “Maz Jobrani: I’m Not a Terrorist, But I’ve Played One on TV” (Showtime, 10 p.m.),, based on his book.

Another storm is brewing: A flood of 10-year-anniversary reports on the storm that devastated the Gulf Coast. One of the first is “Fox News Reporting: Timeline of Hurricane Katrina” (Fox News, 10 p.m.).

“Edge of Alaska” (Discovery, 9 p.m.) returns for a new season, with outsiders about to buy property and big game hunters closing in.

Sen. Claire McCaskill, Dan Buettner, Marc Maron, Rep. Donna F. Edwards and Charles C.W. Cooke are scheduled on a new “Real Time with Bill Maher” (HBO, 10 p.m.).

Lie detector test results are due on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” (WE, 9 p.m.) and it’s all downhill from there.

“Killjoys” (Syfy, 9 p.m.) reaches a season finale, the killjoys. It’s also the season’s end for “Burgers, Brew & ‘Que” (Food, 10:30 p.m.).

More magic occurs on “Masters of Illusion” (The CW, 8 p.m.).

Alan Arkin gets the spotlight on Turner Classic Movies all day with “Full Moon High” (6 a.m.), “Cooperstown” (9 a.m.), “Simon” (11 a.m.), “Wait Until Dark” (1 p.m.), “Hearts of the West” (3 p.m.), “Little Murders” (5 p.m.), “The Heart is a Lonely Hunter” (8 p.m.), “Popi” (10:15 p.m.), “The In-Laws” (12:15 a.m.), “Freebie and the Bean” (2:15 a.m.) and “Rafferty and the Gold Dust Twins” (4:15 a.m.). There is also an interview with Robert Osborne, “Alan Arkin: Live from the TCM Classic Film Festival” (8 a.m. and 7 p.m.). But no “Catch 22” or “Little Miss Sunshine”?

Baseball includes Atlanta at Cubs (MLB, 4:05 p.m.) and Mets at Colorado (MLB, 8:40 p.m.).

Preseason football has Seattle at Kansas City (NFL, 8 p.m.).

WNBA action has Los Angeles at Phoenix (NBA, 10 p.m.).

The Little League World Series begins with Dominican Republic vs. Uganda (ESPN2, 10 a.m.), Texas vs. Oregon (ESPN, 11 a.m.), Venezuela vs. Australia (ESPNews, 1 p.m.), Kentucky vs. Southern California (ESPN, 2 p.m.), Canada vs. Mexico (ESPNews, 4 p.m.), Rhode Island vs. South Carolina (ESPN, 5 p.m.), Tokyo vs. Chinese-Taipei (ESPNews, 7 p.m.) and Missouri vs. Pennslyvania (ESPN, 8 p.m.).
