He makes the case on the two hour “Atlantis Found” (History, 9 p.m.), suggesting a volcanic eruption there may have doomed the ancient city once described by Plato.
Things get a little grim on “Fargo” (FX, 10 p.m.), still the best thing on TV this fall.
Having seen the pilot twice, I’m interested to see where the musical comedy “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (The CW, 8 p.m.) is going.

Ice skating is on the roster tonight on “Gigi Does It” (IFC, 10:30 p.m.).
Stealing art leads to murder on a new “Castle” (ABC, 10 p.m.).
Damian Szifron’s Oscar nominated “Wild Tales” (Starz, 10 p.m.) makes its premium cable debut.
The salute to David Niven on Turner Classic Movies continues with the 1956 epic “Around the World in 80 Days” (8 p.m.) followed by “My Man Godfrey” (11:15 p.m.), “The Moon is Blue” (1 a.m.), “Bonjour Tristesse” (3 a.m.) and “The Toast of New Orleans” (4:45 a.m.).
Game three of the American League Championship Series moves across the border with Kansas City at Toronto (Fox Sports 1, 8 p.m.).
